EXPERIENCED SUSHI CHEF / SOUS CHEF

Join the Team at Izakaya Cabin

Crested Butte, Colorado

We're looking for an experienced sushi chef ready to take the next step into a leadership role. This position combines hands-on sushi production with the responsibilities of a sous chef, helping lead one of Colorado's most respected mountain-town kitchens.

You'll work alongside our executive chef Lai Chao to maintain exceptional quality, mentor the team, and help shape an evolving Japanese-inspired menu.

What You'll Do

• Prepare premium sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls

• Lead daily prep and service with precision and consistency

• Assist with ordering, inventory, and food cost control

• Train and mentor sushi cooks and line staff

• Maintain the highest standards of sanitation and knife skills

• Contribute ideas for seasonal specials and menu development

• Step into a leadership role during service and support the entire kitchen

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional sushi experience

• Strong knife skills and fish fabrication experience

• Calm, organized, and fast under pressure

• Positive attitude and team-first mentality

• Leadership experience preferred

• Passion for Japanese cuisine and hospitality
